Christian Dior Mens Suits
Christian Dior mens suits. - Reviews and designer information.
Christian Dior was a French fashion designer who epitomizes modernity and forward-thinking fashion. Dior's work established Paris as the center of the fashion world after World War II, and the famous designer John Galliano currently runs the Dior label, continuing Dior's legacy of creating high-quality suits since the early 1920's.
Christian Dior was born in 1905 in a small seaside town on the coast of France. Defying his family's wishes that he become a diplomat, Dior pursued his artistic inclinations and began selling his fashion sketches outside of his home for about 10 cents each.
Dior left school in the late 1920's and opened an art gallery, where he became one of many curious modernists in Paris, experimenting with new forms of art and self-expression. He joined the fashion house of Lucien Lelong, famous for preserving the French fashion industry during wartime, and dressed the wives of Nazi officers and French collaborators before founding his own fashion house in 1946.
He became known for creating more voluptuous and experimental clothes, always erring on the side of too much fabric rather than too little, always favoring luxury and style over frugality.
Although he died in 1957, Dior has not been forgotten. His self-named international fashion house, Christian Dior, has been around for over sixty years and is still going strong. The label continues to produce influential and top-notch designs in the fashion world today, and his inspiration will live on forever in the world of high fashion.
Christian Dior Mens Suits Style
Dior was the one of the first designers to emphasize conformity to the human form. Many have followed him since, but 50 years ago his designs were truly unique. If you are proud of your body and you want a suit that will show off your form and fit well, Dior is the perfect designer.
True to the designer's groundbreaking, pioneering vision, Christian Dior mens suits are always made from high quality virgin wools - first spun to make the suit, first worn on your body. Inner linings are often made of silk or other soft, breathable materials of the highest quality.
Dior suits are mostly classic in color: black, blue, and gray. While not as provocative as some designers' suits today, the presentation and form of Dior suits are what make them truly unique.
These suits usually retail for about $2,000.00. However, visit Paris during Sale seasons (July and December!) or peruse high-end retailers' online discount stores, and you can probably find a good deal. But beware: make sure to take your measurements before buying a suit, and prepare to have it tailored regardless.
The Christian Dior brand means high quality, unique suits that are worth your investment. Buy this suit if you want to differentiate yourself from the masses.
