the guide to mens suits

Claiborne Concepts

My favorite suit is a simple black pinstripe Claiborne Concepts set. It’s a dark color suit but its very light material so I don’t find myself sweating to death when I wear it.

I’ve worn it to formal dinners, weddings, and (unfortunately) funerals and it’s held up amazingly well. There are several reasons why I love this suit, but there are two big ones.

First, it fits great. I’m 6’1” and a lean 160 pounds, but I have very broad shoulders so I take a 44 jacket. Due to my height I did have the sleeves and pant legs let out a bit, but that’s it. When the jacket is buttoned it still looks great and not too roomy as some other jackets have on me.

Second, I found it on sale at the mall, so I didn’t spend an arm and a leg on it. I was also able to get it measured and altered in the same store by their very knowledgeable staff. Turn around on the alterations was only 2 days. I got a great deal and overall a buying experience that had no negative points, so there’s no bad thoughts or regrets anytime I take it off the hangers.

Tall
by: Craig

At 6'1" and only 160 pounds you must look crazy in a black pinstripe suit. Doesn't it make you look really skinny?

Also it seems like a size 44 would be way too big for somebody that is that tall and that light. Your waist and legs must be super skinny.

Do you have to get your pants specially tailored.

Either way, it sounds like you found a suit that you really like. I've never tried Claiborn Concepts myself, but I haven't heard anything bad about them.

Personally I try to wear Jos Bank suits whenever possible. They seem to make me look good and the company has never done wrong by me.
