The Funeral Suit

One of the most difficult things to purchase is a good funeral suit. While many dread going to funerals, it is inevitable that most of the population will end up at one sooner or later, so the purchase of appropriate clothing is a must.

The traditional color for this occasion is black. While a number of men own a suit in this color, some men prefer not to wear black at all. Other options for colors, if black is not your color of choice, include gray and a dark navy blue. In fact, in recent years, it is not uncommon to see lighter shades of gray suits at a funeral. However, it is never socially appropriate to attend such an event without a suit as an adult. Casual dress has become more common at solemn occasions but just because others do so, does not make it appropriate.

Therefore, a purchase of a suit is never a wasted investment. A good suit in a solemn color can be used for a myriad of purposes. A somber suit is a great thing to wear on an interview. A wedding would be another example of a good occasion for a suit. In fact, any more formal occasion would warrant a great, solemn suit. It makes people take a man seriously and helps them realize he deserves respect.
