the guide to mens suits

I'm a Brooks Brothers Type of Guy

by John G.
(Henrico, Virginia)

I arrived at the outlet store and was greeted by a very knowledgeable sales associate. He gave me a very thorough overview of their various product lines. He then took my measurements and sent me into the dressing room with slacks in various fabrics and shades.

I ended up with a navy Brooks Brothers Two-button Suiting Essential Jacket and matching slacks. Because of my odd shaped body, it required some alterations, which they were willing to do at no charge and ship to a store that was a little closer to my house and from where I could pick it up.

The suit was not cheap, but I had the gift certificate from my sons, which pretty much covered my purchase. While I was there, I picked up two shirts and a new tie. (What the heck, it's only money.)

I must say I am extremely happy with my Brooks Brothers clothing. First, it fits my body perfectly without any sagging shoulders or bulges in the butt. The tailoring is exquisite and it's a pleasure to wear. (It is VERY comfortable.) When I put it on and look in the mirror, I feel like I'm a different person. It really does make a difference in my looks and that makes a difference in how I feel.

The fabric is soft and has a little stretch (thankfully, because I need it). The only complaint I have is that it is imported. I would have liked the suit to be made in the good old U.S.A.

I'm sure you can get better prices on suits, but you probably won't get a better fit or better service at their stores. I'm now a Brooks Brothers man, that's for sure!

Made in USA
by: Craig

As far as I know, Brooks Brothers suits are made in the United States. Are you sure the one you bought wasn't? I'm not sure where they get their fabric, but they've been making their suits state side for more than a hundred years.

This site says in the suit brands area for BB that it is made in the USA as well. Has this changed? That would be a real shame if one of the last great American suit companies went over seas.
