The Party Suit

The party suit can be more of a fun suit than a business suit. For this type of suit the most classic line is the pin stripe. Today’s pin stripe suit is not like the pin stripe suits of the 1920’s gangsters. Today’s suits are not just black and white, now you can find them in a lot of different colors.

One of the great things to do with a pin stripe suit is to match or using contrasting colors in your shirt or tie. This sets off the stripe and gives your suit a punch of color. If you are wearing a blue suit with a yellow pin strip wear a yellow or red shirt. This will bring out the yellow in the pin strip and you will create a sensation.

If you are wary of wearing a colored pin stripe go with the traditional black and white and use a colored shirt you are comfortable with and a pocket square. Luckily with this particular suit you do not have to wear a tie, so leave the first button unbuttoned and relax a little.

Above all, remember you are at a party! You should relax and have fun and wear something that you are comfortable with. Never be forced into something that you do not like or feel like you can be yourself in.
