The suit itself isn't bad at all. I would however look into getting it tailored if you can. Obviously if the suit is just for prom, it doesn't have to be perfect.
Just do the best you can. Even if you get it tailored for this event, you'll only end up outgrowing it pretty quickly anyway so you don't want to waste a ton of money on it if you don't have it.
If you do have it though, go see a tailor. They'll hook you up and it won't cost too much. Probably about the same amount as you paid for your prom ticket, if not less.

Blatant Problems by: Anonymous
First and foremost, button your collar. Nothing makes one look more like a slob than letting your tie dangle off your neck likes it's dying. Second, have a tailor bring the shoulder seems in an inch or so on each side, preventing the creases that assuredly wrinkle up when you lift your arms. and get the pants hemmed. You can never go wrong with zero break. Or, at least one that's very minor.

Playing Soccer ? by: hally
It's hard to say if the suit fits you if you stand there like a soccer player protecting his family jewels.
