Suit Shoes
The best style of suit shoes to wear are those without laces and a longer squared toe. They are the most fashionable shoe this season. Shoes such as this create the illusion of a longer leg line, as long as you do not wear a cuffed pant. Creating a longer leg line also creates a cleaner and more professional look.
Suit wearers should stay away from tasseled loafers. They will date your style back to the 1980’s and if you are wearing a nice suit the tasseled loafer will ruin the look. Another style of shoe that suit wearers should stay away from are cowboy boots. Unless you are an Oil Tycoon from Texas or Oklahoma you cannot get away with this style and you will just look silly. However, if you are that Oil Tycoon go ahead, you’ve got too much money to have anyone tell you not to. Another style to stay away from are shoes that lace up. This style looks too much like a tennis shoe and will again ruin the line of your suit.
For the money, the best suit shoes to get are Steve Madden. They are comfortable and come in many shapes and colors. Of course there are also your more expensive Italian leather shoes such as Louis Vuitton, but if you are interested in a classic, moderately priced shoe then go for the Steve Madden.
For a woman’s suit a peak-a-boo pump is always a classic look. During the winter and fall you can pair them with textured tights for a fun look. For the summer go bare legged, it is too hot to wear panty-hose anyway! The peak-a-boo pump also has a sexy look to it that is still office appropriate.
For women’s shoes go for either a Steve Madden or an Antonio Melani. They are incredibly comfortable, which is very important for wearing at the office all day, and they are reasonably priced. And in this economy a comfortable, moderately priced woman’s shoe is as important as finding the least expensive gas station to fill up at.
Remember for the women, never, never wear an ugly flat to work just because it is comfortable! You can find suit shoes in heels that are just as comfortable and make you feel much more beautiful than an ugly flat ever could.
